EHU

We get our electric from solar, and so that it is not abused we meter our EHU. It is a £20 cash deposit on arrival, and what you have not used will be refunded to you when you are leaving.
Strictly no electric heaters or large high wattage appliances such as washing machines and electric hob etc to be used.
Our EHU is for things such as your caravan fridge and TV.

  • Using high-wattage appliances like electric hobs and heaters can overload the campsite's electrical system.

  • This can cause the circuit breaker to trip, cutting off the power supply.

  • Overloading can also damage the campsite's electrical infrastructure.

Fishing

Fishing is £10 daily between the hours of 7am-dusk.

Dog field

Dog field access in included. Dog field is open to all guests between 7am-dusk, however can be reserved in advance at no extra cost for dogs who need exclusive use. Just let us know if you need a specific time reserving so we can make sure the field will be empty for you.

During your stay, exclusive use of the field can still be reserved for dogs who need alone time on the field . We have found the system that works best for impromptu is an American postbox! If you're heading onto the field and would like to tell other guests that your dog needs alone time, just raise the red flag on the postbox. Other guests should not enter the field when the flag is raised. When the flag is down it means the field is free to use by all dogs who can play at the same time. (Poop bags, and a doggy first aid kid can be found inside the postbox too).

Some dogs (like our Collie) just have selective recall and are happy to be in a field with other dogs, some (like our other Collie) have anxiety and can not have other dogs run up to them. We are a very welcoming safe space so please let us know all about your dogs so we can make their stay as enjoyable as possible for them!

Sheep petting

Sheep food is available by the sheep field for a £1 donation which covers the cost of their food and vet bills. The sheep love their food and will come to the fence for petting in return for some food. The sheep like to hang out by the fence often so may let you pet them without the food bribe. All dogs must remain on the lead near the fence.

Horses

We would love for you to fetch your horse on holiday! There's a beautiful route right outside our entrance. Follow the bridleway down to the River Brock and then there's different options of where to go from there! Woodland, fields, or a quiet countryside to Beacon Fell where horses are allowed.
We only have stock fencing (no electric fencing on site). Water is available however no livery/tack room/bedding etc. You would still need to fetch anything needed to care for your horse. Because of the beautiful riding trails on our doorstep we are happy for you to fetch your horse/pony if you feel they would be comfortable staying in our private field or on your pitch.
Horses are £15 per horse per night.

Humans are £15pp per night no matter what pitch.
Private field is £20 per night (total - not per person).
